Methodology
How FinVenue Monitor assesses trading venues
Our methodology separates platform capability from transparency, evidence confidence, and risk exposure. This prevents a high feature score from being interpreted as a safety guarantee.
Score 1
Platform Capability Score
Measures product breadth, trading tools, account experience, platform navigation, support structure, and user-facing usability. It does not certify custody quality, solvency, or legal suitability.
Score 2
Transparency Score
Measures the visibility of public records, operational disclosures, security statements, policy pages, fee clarity, and consistency across public materials.
Label 1
Evidence Confidence
Summarizes how directly the assessment can be verified from public materials. Confidence can be High, Moderate, Limited, or Insufficient.
Label 2
Risk Level
Reflects the product category and user exposure. Crypto and derivative products are generally treated as high risk even when platform capability scores are above average.
Evidence hierarchy
1. Official public records
Regulatory and registry materials, when relevant and accessible.
2. Platform disclosures
Product pages, policy pages, fees, security statements, and support materials.
3. Third-party coverage
Media references, database records, and public industry commentary.
4. User discussion signals
Qualitative only; never treated as proof of reliability.
